PensiveThere is a road outside of my apartment, a long and winding road that snakes its way through the entire complex, in a never-ending circle. The gravel is grey, hard, unchanging, and when a boy falls upon it, he can scrape his knees. I watched a little boy, no more than six, with black hair and burnished skin do just that once, as I took my weekly walk. He wailed and cried, quick and light tears, as a silver sports car drove by and didn't slow down; uncaring, unfeeling of him. His parents ran over from the lush grass and held him.
